When appropriate, Dr. Giffin uses oral sedation and conscious sedation (nitrous oxide) to temper the anxieties many patients experience when visiting the dentist. Secondly, Dr. Giffin developed and uses "crestal anesthesia" a technique which profoundly anesthetizes teeth regardless of the nerve source.
